Athos Architecture is a design studio founded on a simple principle: every client deserves architecture that is tailored to them — to their life, their budget, and their vision.

The studio is led by architect Atanas Kunev, who holds a Master of Architecture (MArch) from the University of Huddersfield, UK, and has been a licensed architect in Bulgaria since 2020. Before founding the studio, Atanas worked within the Blagoevgrad City Council as an architect — an experience that gave him something genuinely rare: an intimate, hands-on understanding of Bulgarian construction law, local regulations (ЗУТ, наредби, устройствени планове), and the administrative processes that can make or break a project timeline. Navigating the system is part of the service.

Athos Architecture operates with a dedicated team of licensed engineers and specialists, allowing us to offer a complete project solution — from the initial design concept all the way through to the final permit for use. You work with one studio, one point of contact, and one coherent team from start to finish. No handoffs, no gaps.

Beyond architecture, the studio has developed a strong specialization in architectural visualization. We produce high-quality photorealistic 3D renders that help clients, developers, and investors see and feel a project before a single brick is laid — communicating design intent with clarity and impact.

Our design approach is modern by default, but never rigid. We adapt to context, to the character of the site, and to what the client actually wants — whether that's a clean contemporary home, a renovation that respects the existing fabric, or something more conservative that suits a different setting or budget.
